Morton Fine Art, an Innovative Curator Studio, Challenges the Traditional Art Gallery Model
Founded as an innovative solution to the changing contemporary art market, Morton Fine Art (MFA) is a curatorial group that collaborates with art collectors and visual artists to inspire fresh ways of acquiring contemporary art.
Firmly committed to the belief that anyone can become an art collector, MFA's mission is to provide accessibility to museum-quality contemporary art through a combination of innovative exhibitions and a new generation of art services.
Redefining the traditional gallery model, MFA does not represent a fixed staple of artists but instead collaborates with a fluid artist roster. This allows both the collector and artist unprecedented flexibility and access.
MFA replaces a single gallery space with two locations: an innovative curators' studio for hosting small scale exhibitions and fine art services, with *a pop-up project, a series of biannual large scale curated exhibitions. The curator's studio maintains a gallery space for collaborating artists, while *a pop-up project are temporary exhibitions that "pop-up" at various locations throughout the Washington, DC area.
In addition to curating projects, MFA offers 3 innovative art service packages for art collectors. Designed to be both approachable and cost-effective, each package provides custom advice on acquiring, hanging and placing fine art without the extravagance of hiring an art consultant.
